On November 14th, Japan Center for International Exchange (JCIE) and Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (TCS) invited GALF as Korean and Chinese representatives for their trilateral workshop. The East Asia Foundation sponsored the Dialogue. Knowledge Investment Programs (KIP) represented the Japanese side, and Chinese international students in Korea represented the bulk of the Chinese side.
We separated into three groups with a mix of Korean, Chinese, and Japanese students to discuss about gender issues, employment and work, and education. We had a preparation period of two to three weeks to make a brief report about the problems each country faced regarding the three issues and exchanged them among the participants. During the workshop, a moderator was placed in each team to facilitate the discussion. We didn’t manage to discuss as long as we wanted to (because there were so many interesting things to talk about!), but we managed to make a brief presentation to suggest solutions for each country. We had a buffet afterwords to get to know each other better.
